Although much of it is outdated, we found functional equipment throughout. Dr. Alvarez attended medical school at the Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City, and completed his residency in internal medicine and cardiology at the Centro Medico "La Raza" IMSS, Mexico City. He completed his post-graduate training at Hamline University Hospital in Minnesota. He has been in private practice as a cardiologist in San Miguel de Allende since 1992, and is a member of the Mexican Society of Cardiology. Dr. Hoogesteger attended medical school and completed his residency at the University of Amsterdam, Holland. After practicing eight years in community health for the Dutch government, he traveled to Mexico City, where he studied at Homeopatia de Mexico. Dr. Hoogesteger is good natured, if a very serious man, and relatively quiet. He has been living and practicing in Mexico for over 20 years. Though he is an MD, he believes very strongly in homeopathic medicine, which he practices as well as allopathic medicine. Dr. Quiroz is an excellent physician and should be considered the first choice by patients seeking medical assistance in San Miguel de Allende.
